Integrated Steel Plant:
We are setting up an new green field Project at Village Santoor in Bellary District of Karnataka State, India. The Steel Plant will have a Capacity of 2MTPA in the Initial Phase and will go up to 5MTPA within 5 years .
We are going to adopt EAF route using DRI, which offers high flexibility of producing various categories of alloy steels for high-end applications, where "clean steel" is a prerequisite. Therefore, the Electric Arc Furnace technology using hot metal & substituting scrap to alarge extent by DRI, with secondary refining of steel & continuous casting method is the most popular in the scenario of increasing demand of speciality & stainless steel in India. Continuous casting technology, on its part, also reduces scrap generation by about 50 per cent other than its better productivity over conventional casting methods. It also eliminates the necessity of a cogging mill in downstream shaping operations.
We would be installing the following Plants for our Production: -
Coke Oven Plant of Capacity 200,000 tpa
DRI Plant of capacity 150,000 tpa
Electric Arc Furnace of capacity 250,000tpa
